Welcome to Sacred Space Doula Services, where I am dedicated to helping you create your own sacred birth space. As a young mom myself, I understand the unique challenges and joys of the pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum experiences. My passion lies in supporting fellow mothers on this transformative journey, ensuring you feel empowered, supported, and prepared every step of the way. I believe that education and preparation are the keys to achieving your dream birth experience. What is a doula?
A doula is a non-medical birth support worker. A doula provides constant support for the birthing mother and her family during her pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. During pregnancy, doulas provide support through education, birth planning, and labor preparation. During labor, doulas provide constant physical, mental, informational, and emotional support by guiding the mother through mental coping strategies, assisting the mother in advocating for her birth preferences, and practicing natural pain management techniques such as massage, counter-pressure, and optimized positioning, to name a few.

Miriam Malonson
Hey! I'm Miriam, a certified birth doula, mom, and wife. I completed my doula certification with the International Doula Institute. I attended my first birth in 2021 and my life has never been the same since. I began my foray into the birth work world while working at New Birth Company, the birth center that used to serve the KC Metro, before it closed in 2024. Due to my own late term pregnancy loss, and two beautiful full term pregnancies, I am blessed to be able to fiercely and lovingly support, educate, and advocate for pregnant mothers and their families. I am honored to be able to offer trauma-informed care for families of loss or in the event of loss. As a Catholic woman of faith, I see the birth space as sacred and holy ground and I am so blessed to be able to have my faith as a foundation for my work. I look forward to working with you and your family as you prepare and create your sacred birth space!

Services
Birth Doula Services
$1500
Includes 2-4 prenatal visits for education, labor prep, and birth planning, 24/7 on-call availability upon signing contract, labor and birth attendance, and at least 1 postpartum follow-up. I also offer a postpartum Closing of the Bones ceremony upon request.
*I will provide a backup doula in case I am not able to attend for any reason at no cost to you.
Childbirth Education
Required for first time parents. Cost included in my birth doula services.
Classes available outside of my doula services.
$200 per couple
